Sherwin was a friend and mentor when I first joined Beta Phi Gamma at NIU I was. In the first pledge class and became the first Commander of the Sigma Nu Chapter. After graduation , we stayed in touch , meeting the “old guus” for dinner, golf kr drinks

He always had a smile and was interested in what was happening in my life. A wonderful guy.

Sherwin was a wonderful Uncle and an admired member of the Jewish community. I will miss his smile, his upbeat attitude, his sense of humor and his deep philosophical talks. He was a great man and I was lucky to have him as my Uncle.
